Can we create peace with weapons? And what does it mean that Denmark is far more active on the international scene?
The Danish participation in the war in Afghanistan following the 9/11/2001 terrorist attack marks a clear departure from the previous 'peaceful' world order to a Denmark that is more active in international operations. Based on the wars Denmark has participated in modern times, students are to independently investigate and work with dilemmas centered around Danish military involvement.
Aims
- The students investigate various wars based on historical artifacts.
- The students practice discussing and presenting.
- The students gain knowledge about Danish foreign policy.
