Danish war correspondent Rasmus Tantholdt reports from war zones. But how does his angle shape the perception of reality? Go live from Denmark's wars through history.
What is war, and who should we believe when journalists report from the battlefield. In this course, students will produce a TV segment about one of Denmark's wars over the past 500 years.

The course consists of three parts
Why War?
First, we need to discuss the students' own knowledge and perceptions of war.
War correspondents in action!
Here, students work critically with objects from the war during a "live" recording with iPads. You can borrow iPads at the museum.
We recommend that the class is divided into groups of 4-5 students beforehand. There can be a maximum of 8 groups per class. This allows you to consider class composition and group dynamics.
From conflict to war
We conclude with a reflection on the students' own everyday conflicts and discuss when a conflict turns into war and what the role of the students is in this.
After the course, we will send a link to download the students' films, so the class can continue working with them.
Aims
What will your students learn?
- The student can reflect on war as a phenomenon and that the portrayal of war depends on who is describing the war.
- The students practice being history creators and experience that history is a science of interpretation, where they themselves are co-interpreters.
- Students can use the exhibition's objects, images, films, and texts to research, organize, and communicate gathered knowledge about Denmark's wars, their preconditions, and courses.
